‘The Five Gulls’ – The painting features five individual seagulls in different stances mirrored by the shallow water glaze on the beach where the gulls perch. The subtle serene surroundings feature a light warm yellow that merges into blue depicting the early morning sunrise. The mirroring in the water is slightly distorted which presents the visual effect of the upside down version of the gulls, each with an character of their own.
