‘Lysander’ is a regal fox, lurking in the shadows of the trees. The ginger tones of fur is a contrast to the deep green of the background which compliments the prominent eye colour that is rimmed with black. The sculpted textured tree curves round the body of the fox creating a cunning hiding place and luring stance to the viewer to be drawn into the paintings beauty.
